Biosecurity Queensland have collaborated with the Wet Tropics Management Authority to launch AntZone – an interactive online tool that’s here to clear up confusion about invasive ants in Far North Queensland.

AntZone offers:  

• a user-friendly map showing yellow crazy ant and electric ant infestations
• a look-up feature for specific addresses to see current ant activity
• a direct link to report suspicious ants online.  

Both species of these invasive ants can devastate the environment, affect biodiversity and agriculture, and impact residents’ livelihood and enjoyment of the region.
