About the course

This module provides initial and just in time training for induction into emergency animal disease (EAD) biosecurity response specifically relating to the key role of field veterinary operations.

What you’ll learn

This course is for veterinarians who want to understand the key principles of working in a field operational role in an emergency response or as a refresher for someone already tasked with field operations in a biosecurity response.

Course content

This module about field veterinary operations is designed to prepare you for your role within the response team.

  The module will cover

  • Understanding the purpose of your role
  • Understand your role’s responsibilities and priorities and be able to apply this knowledge
  • Understand where your role sits in the response structure
  • Understand the roles of those you report to
  • Enter the response with the knowledge and awareness to effectively carry out your role.

The module uses scenarios and quizzes to highlight and consolidate the participant’s learning.

Course accreditation/certificate

At the completion of this training module there will be a certificate of completion that may be printed.
