About the course

The Polyphagous shot-hole borer (PSHB) Nursery Stock Inspection Course supports Western Australian nursery staff operating within the PSHB quarantine area to meet inspection requirements under the Quarantine Area Notice.

Delivered by the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD), the course certifies participants to inspect nursery stock for suspect PSHB and related activity.

What you’ll learn

On completion of this course, you will:

  • understand inspection requirements under the PSHB Quarantine Area Notice
  • recognise signs of suspect borer and borer activity in nursery stock
  • conduct compliant inspections to support certification requirements.

Course content

The course outlines inspection responsibilities for nursery staff within the PSHB quarantine area, including recognising suspect borer activity and applying inspection procedures in line with regulatory requirements.
