Dr Lucy Tran-Nguyen, Plant Health Australia’s General Manager, Partnerships and Innovation, will join the selection panel for the Queensland Biosecurity Mates Ambassador Program to appoint local biosecurity champions.
The program aims to create a collective of committed representatives, across a range of sectors, focused on educating, advocating, and supporting measures to enhance Queensland’s biosecurity resilience and preparedness.
Commencing in February 2024, Lucy will be involved in evaluating and selecting individuals based on the published selection criteria, who will serve as ambassadors, actively contributing to enhancing biosecurity practices across the Queensland region. A total of six biosecurity ambassadors will be selected for a 12-month engagement.
Program applications have now closed. Further information about the process can be found here.
