FAO is conducting a series of knowledge-rich webinars on a monthly basis as part of the Progressive Management Pathway for Terrestrial Animal Biosecurity (PMP-TAB) Community of Practice. These webinars cover a host of topics related to the progressive improvement of terrestrial animal biosecurity, involving speakers and participants from multiple disciplines and backgrounds.

This month’s webinar will explore how immersive technology overcomes traditional barriers in biosecurity education, from geographical isolation and language diversity to the challenge of preparing for diseases not yet present in Australia. Real-world examples such as SheepEAD ARRemoteVet.ai and Biosecurity Virtual Tours will be shared, as well as the unique impact of weaving First Nations storytelling with cutting-edge technology to create accessible, engaging biosecurity training that reaches communities across Australia.

Presenters
Kat Bidstrup, CEO, Think Digital Studios and South Australia’s Emerging Entrepreneur 2022
