About the course

This module provides initial and just in time training for induction into emergency animal disease (EAD) biosecurity response specifically relating to the key role of surveillance.

What you’ll learn

This course is for anyone who wants to understand the key principles of surveillance function in an emergency response or someone with responsibility to work in the surveillance unit in a biosecurity response.

Course content

This module is designed to prepare you for working in the surveillance role within a biosecurity response team.

  The module will cover:

  • Surveillance role overview
  • Surveillance priorities
  • Response role structure
  • Key tasks during a response in the surveillance role
  • Additional resources for reference

The module uses scenarios and quizzes to highlight and consolidate the participant’s learning.

Course accreditation/certificate

At the completion of this training module there will be a certificate of completion that may be printed.
