The course supports the Australian Honeybee Industry Biosecurity Code of Practice and provides information about keeping honeybees healthy, looking for pests and diseases, and some measures to protect apiaries.
The Biosecurity for Beekeepers course provides information about keeping your honey bees healthy, looking for pests and diseases, and some measures you can use to protect your apiary. The course supports the Australian Honey Bee Industry Biosecurity Code of Practice.
This course is designed for individuals who have at least a basic understanding of beekeeping practices, and would like to learn more about protecting their bees from pests and diseases.
Completing this course and the assessment, may meet the training requirement specified in the Australian Honey Bee Industry Biosecurity Code of Practice.
To access this training, you will need to log in to the Biosecurity Online Training (BOLT) learning management platform. Access is free and available to anyone with an interest in biosecurity. If you are not already a member, then you will need to register and create a new account.
