About the course

The 11152NAT Certificate IV in Tropical Biosecurity is a nationally recognised qualification designed to build leadership and technical expertise in biosecurity across northern Australia.

Developed in partnership with Indigenous communities, this program equips participants with the knowledge and skills to perform functions associated with the role of a Senior Ranger, Ranger Coordinator or other tropical biosecurity support personnel.

Students can specialise in one of three key streams:

The course blends cultural knowledge with practical skills in surveillance, emergency response, compliance and community engagement. It is delivered flexibly through a mix of hands-on workshops, self-paced learning and on-Country fieldwork.
