Introducing Queensland’s new biosecurity strategy

The Queensland Biosecurity Strategy 2024–2029 has officially launched.

In response to the increasing risk and changing nature of biosecurity globally, the strategy establishes a strategic framework for ongoing capability and capacity development in Queensland’s biosecurity prevention and preparedness. 

This refresh of the Queensland Biosecurity Strategy 2018–2023 was undertaken through extensive consultation with stakeholders and will be supported by an implementation plan to ensure it retains relevance.
